Brief Profile
Dr. Naveen Sharma is a Senior Scientist at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO), Chandigarh. He holds a B.Tech and M.Tech from ABV-IIITM Gwalior and a Ph.D. from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi. With over 14 years of experience in leading software multinationals (KPIT Cummins, TCS) and premier government R&D institutions (CDAC, CSIR), he specializes in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Biomedical Imaging (Visual, Thermal, and Terahertz), and Cyber Forensics. His current research focuses on developing low-cost, non-contact diagnostic devices that utilize imaging technologies integrated with artificial intelligence. He has significantly contributed to R&D in areas including diabetic foot ulcer detection, compartment syndrome diagnosis, and cognitive load assessment in psychiatric patients. Dr. Sharma is a Fellow of IETE and a Life Member of the ISCA and Vigyan Bharati (VIBHA).
